How rankings work
Every item starts with the same rating. When an item wins against a strong opponent, its rating goes up more. When it loses to a weak one, it drops more. Over thousands of votes, the best items rise to the top.
Rankings use the ELO rating system, originally designed for chess. Learn more about how rankings work.
FAQ
- Do I need an account?
- Nope. Vote anonymously as much as you like. Signing in with Google unlocks vote history, but it's completely optional.
- How often can I vote?
- Once per matchup per day. You can vote on as many different matchups as you want.
- How are matchups chosen?
- Randomly, from the pool of items matching your current mode and category.
- Are rankings shared across categories?
- Each category has its own rating pool, so items are ranked against others in the same category. There's also a global pool that tracks everything together.
