x-vs-x is a free voting platform. We collect as little data as possible to make the site work. We don't sell your data and we don't track you across the web.
What we collect
Without an account
- An anonymous session cookie containing a random ID
- The votes you cast
With a Google account
- Your Google display name, email address, and profile picture
- The votes you cast
We don't access your Google password or any other Google data.
How we use your data
- Session cookie: to remember your session between visits
- Vote records: to prevent duplicate votes, show your history, and calculate rankings
- Google account info: to display your name and avatar when signed in
Third-party services
We use third-party services for hosting, database storage, and authentication (Google sign-in). Some item images come from Pexels and Wikimedia Commons. These services have their own privacy policies.
Cookies
We use a single session cookie to identify your browser. It contains a random ID — no personal information. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics.
Data retention
We keep vote records indefinitely to maintain accurate rankings. Account data is kept as long as your account exists.
Children
x-vs-x is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
