Canadians invented it in the seventies because apparently even tetraplegia wasn't going to stop them hitting each other.
Fun fact: Originally called murderball, it was invented in Winnipeg in 1976 by five athletes with tetraplegia.
Made it to the Paris Olympics and got axed straight after, which is a very breakdancing thing to do.
Fun fact: It debuted at the 2024 Paris Olympics and was immediately dropped from the 2028 Los Angeles program.
